History

In the fall of 1982 the Western Taney County Fire Protection District was formed by a vote of the citizens of Western Taney County when it was seen that the need existed to improve on the fire protection that was being provided.  On April 7 1998, after a vote of the people, the 60 square miles of the J & JJ area were added.
