ROOKIE SCHOOL
This is the first level of training for all recruits.  The course is a 40 hr. course conducted on simultaneous weekends.  The training will start on a Friday evening at 6:00 PM and last about 4 hours.  Followed by a Saturday and Sunday session, which starts each day at 8:00 AM and lasts about 8 hrs.  A course completion certificate is presented to those qualified. 
After passing rookie school each rookie has one year to complete 4 mandatory trainings.
These trainings are:  First Responder, Vehicle Rescue Technician, Hazardous Materials Incident Response – Awareness and Emergency Vehicle Drivers Training.
When these training are completed the rookie advances to Firefighter Status.
